This unique designe depicts the 2nd Rangers and their Commanding Officer, Lt Colonel James Earl Rudder. The men of the 2nd Rangers heroically scaled the cliffs of Pointe du Hoc and destroyed the guns, which they found hiding in a nearby orchard. This was one of the most audacious assaults of D-Day.
