We are passionate about military history, World War 2 in particular and especially the Normandy and Market Garden campaigns, of June to September, 1944.

Our founder Steve is a former Infantryman and former member of the Royal Signals. He regularly visits Normandy and has done so for over 20 years.  

The highlight of Steve's trips was always having the opportunity to meet the veterans in person and share a moment with them. Sadly, our heroes are fading but we can all remember them in our own way.

Two trips to Normandy stand out for Steve.  In 2007, and again in 2009, he had the pleasure of escorting a veteran of Juno Beach, Len Smith, R.A.S.C, who drove his DUKW on to the shores of Bernieres sur Mer, on the 6th June 1944. Len was one of NINE brothers who all served in WW2, a real Band of Brothers. The trip in 2007 was the first time that Len had returned to Normandy since D-Day.  It was a very memorable trip for all those who were there to witness it first-hand.
